Remediation Strategy Development

Remediation Strategies have extensive experience in reviewing site investigation data and quantitative risk assessment reports to develop remediation strategies for sites in line with current best practice (CLR11). We work with clients using their development layout to ensure materials are used appropriately. We also prepare material movement plans for customers to allow impacted materials to be better utilised in non critical areas such as roads and car parks. Our staff are also Definition of Waste: Development Industry Code of Practice trained.

Remediation Design

New Government guidance now requires specific steps with respect to remediation design, including completing  a remediation option appraisal. Our knowledge of a wide variety of remediation techniques allows impartial options appraisals to be completed ensuring all possible techniques are considered. This stage also allows a cost benefit analyses on varying types of remediation technologies to formally be completed.

Pilot Testing

Where the requirement for a remediation pilot test is identified, Remediation Strategies have both the equipment and expertise available to mobilise to site and complete remediation pilot tests (vacuum and pump tests). We also have access to facilities to complete bench scale tests for remediation techniques requiring a chemical application. Results are compiled into a report to assist with future remediation design works.

Critical Review

Remediation Strategies have assisted a number of clients in assessing the performance of appointed specialist remediation contractors. This has included site inspections, method statement analysis and data review. Output from these works has included independent audit reports.
